Oh-Fence
I hope to see a drastic improvement in offensive line blocking tonight. I think that’s the most important thing. Without that the offense is toast no matter how well the game is called.
Bentley’s had a week to get better mentally and Ludwig has had a week to adjust the play calling for him. I hope he can settle in and make some good mid range passes with a couple of BETTER deep throws. No jump balls. Better ball security for sure.
I’d like to get Ty Jordan more touches and see what he can do.
D
Need more consistent pressure from the D line. I feel like Morgan had to start blitzing to get pressure on Slovis last week and we paid the price for that.
Looking for progress in the defensive backfield. Should be less difficult this week there.
Special Teams
Our special teams have kind of just been “there” for the last year plus. I doubt we will see Covey play, but perhaps he could be the spark there.
Victory?
I’m not super confident that we will win with so much inexperience and seemingly a lot of players still not playing due to covid. But I’d like to see improvement and I think we will.
Well said. Can’t expect a complete turnaround but improvements in certain areas would be nice. Basically a more competitive game from a fans perspective. I know some think we were right there without the TOs but it just didn’t look like we were ready to go toe to toe with SC.
Covey sighting would be nice.
watched the game with some neutral friends last week and they mentioned how small we looked in the trenches compared to SC. Thought I would throw that out there. Told them we had a lot of freshman playing. 🤗
I’d like to see the offense go from an F to a C. Progress…that’s all I want.
I’d love to see Covey settle his vendetta for what Washington did to him a few years back…
I’m still mad at the Washington fans for their pre-game Covey comments.
Agree with everything except special teams. At least the punt game hasn’t just been there, it was detriment last week. With offense struggling, it would be nice to be able to flip the field to give the defense a chance.
UW is the best team in the conference this year. I think the psychic got the numbers backwards and the 8 was a bit blurry. 62-13.
