They play eight home games at Ohio Stadium. Ohio State also has two off weeks in the 2024 season, one on Sept. 14 and the other on Oct. 19. Must be nice.
L A M E!!!
You bet it’s lame. But no one is calling them out on it. All of their OOC games are against G5 opponents at home. That’s four wins before the season starts right there.
Michigan dominated 3 G5’s to start this year and no one will hold it against them. Beating bad teams is always going to be preferable to losing to good ones. The first time I see the committee give anything more than lip service to SOS, or even conference championships, I’ll start believing that it is a necessary component.
The only thing that has mattered for the last decade is one or zero losses. If there are multiple teams with one loss to decide from, the committee will always use whatever pretzel logic is required to get the best matchup for television instead of rewarding the team with the best resume.
Best. Damn. Schedule. In. The. Land!
I think 2024 is going to be one of those years where everyone gets two bye weeks. There are 14 Saturdays from Labor Day weekend through Thanksgiving weekend.
Check out USC’s schedule for next year. LSU and Notre Dame in non-con. Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Washington and a potentially good UCLA. No wonder Reilly’s sending out NFL feelers.
Michigan gets USC, Oregon, Washington, and Ohio State. No picnic there.
And Texas in week 2
