Scoring more than one touchdown a game can be viewed as an improvement for this offense against any opponent at this point. The bar is so low for me I am excited about anything happening.

A few impressions I got is he looks a little worn out for week five. His comments about targeting are interesting take. He was careful to say how it changes conference to conference. To me it is team to team and series to series how it is called. The one specifically on Huntley’s slide was by rule targeting. Those refs were not going to call shit…[Read more]

It is more than just I consider Shaw to be better than Whitt. Not that Whitt is bad he just isn’t better than Shaw. It’s like the difference between Taco Bell and Red Iguana. You wish you could drive down town and buy a delicious burrito but Taco Bell is right there at 2 am and you don’t have much self esteem so you think why not it won’t hurt…[Read more]

Love that guy. Gracious in his post game remarks. I covet him because he is an amazing guy. Coaches real “student” athletes.

Huntley is still staring down that route and shuffling his feet.

Hand wringing over squandered offensive talent for the millionth time is my hobby at the moment. Just an average offense would get it done this year. Hold onto the ball ground and pound 2011 Ute offense gets it done with this defense. It is frustrating!!
Utah had their chances for a big win to set up a good season. It was right there and they…[Read more]

EagleMountainUte started the topic What are you risking benching Huntley? Nothing is my answer. in the forum Football 6 years, 10 months ago
“Mediocre” Browning at five what does that make Huntley?
Credit @jrj84105 for posting this earlier. Utah doesn’t win another game the rest of the season with Huntley at QB. At this point just the potential of something better outweighs the risks of more mistakes from the new QB. -
EagleMountainUte replied to the topic Give me one name on the Utah offense that is giving 100% every rep he is in? in the forum Football 6 years, 10 months ago
So many other issues that could be corrected than a few Covey issues. I would say the only thing he needs to do is work on protecting himself better. Going down and avoiding contact a lot. Not much you can do though when Huntley is tossing the ball at you practically staring you down pre snap. Seems like Carrington had some injury issues to end…[Read more]

Other than Covey it is no one. No one on that offense gives 100% every snap he lines up. Please show me evidence of any other player if he was able to lays it on the line for Utah offensive pride?
Now shut up with the criticisms on Covey. -

EagleMountainUte replied to the topic 5 Years later…for better or for worse? in the forum Football 6 years, 10 months ago
International rugby is the model like I have said a million times. They have implemented tons of rules that keep the integrity of the game while also putting player safety first.
Football also needs to get rid of the hits. What I mean is WRAP UP not hit a player. You can’t tell me the hit FROM Blair was MORE dangerous than blowing up Covey not…[Read more]

Holds remember it was the Illegal man downfield and Wideouts not using proper technique when blocking.
Widereceiver has been the most mentally weak position at Utah since 2008. -

Overall I think they improved. I watched in the stands first and my second impression on video was improvement still. They gave Huntley some good pockets but he didn’t want to see Huntley doing that if you listen to Moss TD video. Compared to NIU and even WSU Oline did great against Washington.
Ignoring the fact that Moss is hurt I agree I want…[Read more]
