Covey is 100% correct here. Just watch every one of those goal line plays. The play is there to be made, and there are obvious things that players did on each play to screw it all up.

I wish I could rec this twice. There was an easy TD to be had on all of the red zone fails, especially this one. The issue wasn’t play calls it was execution. Excellent play by that db though slowing down enis and going after covey. Impressive.

I’d be happy playing any of those teams.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic I was thinking about the safety position next year, and that got me thinking in the forum Football 3 years, 8 months ago
yeah, thats pretty much what I was thinking. I was just wondering if anyone had heard what his plans are, or if anyone has heard anything about his recovery. Whitt talked him up big time before he got hurt the first time. Man, that seems like such a long time ago.

about RJ Hubert. Anyone know whats going on with him? I know he’s out this year with another injury, but any updates? Is there any chance he returns and hasn’t lost his athleticism? He would be a nice addition to our secondary.

depending on how the rest of this season goes, you will likely see a lot of guys leaving “early.” I think Kuithe, Ford, Tafue, Lloyd, and obviously Howard are gone for sure. I think you may see kincaid and even fotheringham moving on (not sure about those guys, maybe Kincaid wants a chance to be the main guy, maybe Cole wants a chance to get…[Read more]

I think broughton is a lockdown corner. He is hurt, but was playing better than Phillips prior to that.

I don’t know why some are so doom and gloom about barely losing to OSU on the road. OSU is a good team, if we somehow make it to the CCG (not at all out of the question, we were two plays away from winning that game fellas, relax!), and we play OSU again on a neutral field, I think we can absolutely win that game. If we execute better, adjust the…[Read more]

and come away complaining about coordinators. The plays were there to be made on both sides of the ball. Tackle after tackle was missed. Zone coverage assignments were repeatedly flubbed, passes were thrown poorly, well thrown passes were dropped, routes were run wrong.
the only truly stupid play call was the double reverse. Stupidest play in all…[Read more] -

Yes that is what I’m saying. If Enid goes deeper that DB is screwed either way. Bad route running.

No complaints from me. We lost because Oregon state is better than us at the moment.
Our tackling was bad, our run blocking still needs a lot of work. Olaseni still gets lost at times and has a few plays a game when he touches nobody.
there is such a thing as the back of an end zone. Just sayin. -

Is the goal line pass play routes. Why are we so in love with running routes just short of the goal line? We did that at least 3 times and failed each time.
also, on the covey one Ends s should have ran a deeper route to give covey more room.
also also… if you are going to do that, do it with Cole F. -

To suggest that Lowe was a thug is as blatantly racist as it gets. The image that comes to mind for me every time I think of Lowe is him kneeling in prayer in the south end zone at LES prior to the start of the game. Clearly showing thanks to BYU fans for their willingness to honor Ty. Aaron was very obviously proud to be wearing #22. I’ve been to…[Read more]

“Game ball!… Ty Jordan, Aaron Lowe!” Whitt is the best. I think Ty’s passing took a lot out of him, then when Aaron passed he was somehow able to gain a new perspective and it reignited his passion. Make no mistake, we are lucky to have Whitt around for as long as he wants to stay.

chinngiskhaan started the topic As good as the second half was in the forum Football 3 years, 9 months ago
The first wasn’t all that bad. We were a missed PI call, and a slightly floated pass away from winning the half despite playing rather soft on defense.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic The tale of two halfs – who are we? in the forum Football 3 years, 9 months ago
If we are a range of 1st half and 2nd half utah from that game for the rest of the season, we are going to be really good this year. That whole game performance was more than good enough to win every game left on our schedule.
