BYU isn’t subject to the same requirements as a private institution. That said, if church members realized that BYU was the highest expense item in the church budget don’t you think there would be more scrutiny among the members?
This part of the quote is my favorite:
“This will allow the public to better understand these deals and whether Utah’s universities are performing their public function in monitoring them for compliance with NCAA eligibility rules,” he said after the more-than-two-hour hearing that included the committee going into closed session to consult with its attorney before rendering a decision.
“You can’t have accountability without transparency, and the records committee ruling will allow for a lot more sunshine on this important issue,”
Utah government is such a joke about public records. We need the communications and info of any public affiliated player we want but don’t ask us to disclose what those of us who make such a rule said or decided when we acted to force their disclosures.
They’re not in the afternoon, anymore!
I have ignored OnlyU at least a dozen times trying to like his comments. Would love for the ignore button to be the leftmost of the tags behind the date stamp
Naive here but does Kuithe have a chance of being drafted with no tape since being taken off the field last year?
Wait you think I care about Jacksonville Jaguars vs Atlanta Falcons? The only way I might be curious is if there are Utes playing. Growing up in SLC I feel no allegiance to any NFL team. My cousins love the raiders but for god knows why. The Niners and the Broncos are closest but I feel nothing for either. If it becomes SEC vs B1G I expect the left half of the US will watch something else. Given that something like 2/3 of the US lives east of the Mississippi the suits probably don’t really care.
More time to gymnastics, skiing and rodeo I guess?
Personally I thought your OP was solid and respectful and I am glad to see BYU and Utah fans able to be something other than asses to each other. My main objection to Big XII was to stay away from all the toxicity. It was bad for everyone.
I’m too lazy to google it but he said the beer on his family thing about Zona fans before he even got to BYU. The repeats make it pretty questionable anywhere.
You gotta be in pain inside and out to find himself where he was. I hope he’s doing better. Doesn’t matter who you played for. If a man loses his humanity over football he’s not that great a human.

The essence of reality TV is putting “big personalities” under increasing pressure. This could be a big underdog story but it’s more likely to get DARK. Either way it’s going to be entertaining.

He also turned over almost all of them. This is a group of passed over people—more than 80 of them. It’s an underdog story and an intense one at that
Some only get about ten reps per game, but probably better to have more than sixty for the experience.
I’m sure it gets tiring for Johnson just to get practice reps. Game time experience is better. Things slow down more and has better responsiveness to game situations.
Is there a possibility to move the block button to the left of the FB and Twitter buttons? I have blocked most people I have wanted to upvote over the years and have gotten pretty good and unblocking people at this point. I’ve even learned you can’t block Tony. ;-D
