There are many, many reasons for active LDS Ute fans to dislike BYU-P and BYU-P fans. Honestly, for me, the whole “it’s a sin to not rep the church by not going to BYU-P” idea doesn’t even crack the top 50.

I totally agree with everything you just said. But this intense persecution complex just sucks. It seems to be a Utah (the state of Utah) thing. I see it a little bit in the Utah fanbase, but it’s rampant in the RSL, Jazz, and especially BYU fanbases. Honestly, this line of thinking is why I can’t make myself like the Jazz despite being in Utah for 20+ years and my hometown team being a constant flaming bag of shit. The whole zoobish persecution complex Jazz fans sport is such a turnoff…

Except for the big advertisement for the Catholic Church which you can see if you look…well, anywhere within sight.

Different economics come into play when you’re run by the world’s richest religion.

On surveys like this, it doesn’t matter what you do – it matters what they think you do. And if they think that ads affect your spending decisions, the U makes more money. That’s all I’m saying.

Think about how you answer that survey before you do it. If the U has data saying that sponsorship is effective, they can charge more for those sponsorships. That means more money for the athletic department, which is always a good thing.

Simple solution: Baseball needs to change their rules. If the run scores before the instant the out takes place, it counts. If the run scores after the instant the out takes place, it doesn’t count. There you go…controversy fixed.

Hopefully the pitcher busted him high and inside on his next at-bat. 😉

I’m glad he’s coming back. They are a worse team with him.
