Pretty dumb to have an entire thread and then delete the original comment that led to the responses.

Only January 2, and I’m pretty sure this will stand as the worst take of 2024.

Let’s start by getting his name right.

Erickson doesn’t belong on Weber State’s court. It’s excruciating watching him.

OK, I agree. That place is in the bench though.

I don’t want him anywhere near the program ever again.

Yes, I had the same surgery. Recovery is brutal. With the cadaver bone placement, your leg has to stay locked straight for as long as possible. In my instance, it was locked straight three weeks post-op and then gradually allowed to bend (only when sitting or laying down). Not allowed to bend when walking for 6-8 weeks.
The problem with that is the knee gets extremely tight after not bending that long and takes some very painful physical therapy to get loosened back up.
Isaac is much younger get than me and will do better I’m sure. For reference though, I was not out of shape, and was an avid marathoner.

I’m 20-years older than Isaac, but in good shape (heavy runner, played D1 athletics back in the day). I couldn’t run at all while waiting for surgery. It was just too painful. I know Wilson has been playing, so that gives me some hope that his diagnosis is less severe than mine was.
Original conversations about a cadaver match for me were around 6-weeks. However, my surgeon was able to order a few of them in just a couple weeks to have them available during the surgery in case the MRI hadn’t shown everything that he would find in the knee (e.g. a bigger lesion or gap in cartilage).

None taken. He does have access to the top medical professionals in the world. The surgery is the same though. Taking a cadaver plug, coring a piece of femur and putting the plug in that has a cap of cartilage.
I hope he heals much quicker than that.

Surely this post is worthy of some type of ban @tony
