I think a lot of what made Kelly’s Oregon teams so good was the fact that they were running tempo when nobody else was. The quality of ESPN’s PAC12 coverage has diminished significantly in the past 2 years. That first round of layoffs essentially gutted their PAC12 Blog writers as well as a lot of the coverage. I like ESPN for a lot of things, but their coverage of college football west of the Mississippi is really, really bad.

Agreed. Even with U$C starting a new QB, with their loaded talent everywhere else and their schedule it is tough to pick against them as #1 in preseason.

No question if he stays healthy and plays to his potential that he’s the #1 guy throughout the entire season. But to think that we’ve also got Shyne and Run DHC to sub in when he needs a breather… man. That’s a three-headed monster at RB if I’ve ever seen one.

I love Riverboat Kyle. The Cal game was on the refs and Moss making a freshman mistake. The call to go for it against USC was the right call in my opinion as well. And while I didn’t agree with it at the time, looking back at the UW game, I think he made the correct decision there as well.

I read it for free as well, but I’m very close to subscribing to UteZone. In the past few weeks I’ve found myself reading their material daily. I think I’m probably gonna bite the bullet and subscribe — might as well support them.

Agreed. The stadium in Santa Clara is nice and all, but there’s not much else appealing about the area. A PAC12 championship weekend in Vegas, though? I might need to buy myself a life-alert necklace.
