It is difficult to build depth at a position when everyone wants to be the starter. Even Penn State who is playing the CFP has lost their backup QB t the portal. That could be a disaster if their starter goes down against SMU.

I hate the NIL and portal the way that it is now working.

We also picked up UNM RB NaQuari Rogers. He was RB2 at UNM, but his YPC stat is not bad.

We now have a complete RB room with Mitchell, 2 Freshmen, Mike Washington from NM State, Parker, and Rogers. I am not sure if Andrews will stay at RB or go back to LB.

Steve Clark from the late 70s/early 80s was an All American DT. He is at least an A if not A+. He played on the offensive line for the Dolphins.

Oregon is the obvious pick, but I agree with you on a darkhorse pick. However, I heard that ASU lost a bunch of kids to the portal.

I probably won’t watch an entire game because I will be attending grandkid games this weekend. But, I will likely tune in and watch parts of the games.

Probably Jackson Bowers from BYU. Utah recruited him before he went to BYU and now he is in the portal.

He played in 5 games in 2021 for Arizona. I think the max you can play and still redshirt is 4. So, he may just barely miss getting one more year of eligibility.

Based on what I have seen – I would say start Dampier this season and give Wilson a chance to learn and grow. Wilson was a great runner in high school. He ran for 200 yards in the championship game against a good defense. The RPO may be better for his strengths.

His yards per catch is amazing at almost 25 yards. He just has one year to play. I don’t like that, but I guess this is the game we now have to play with the portal.

Yeah, I heard the same thing. I hope Atuaia can get him here in SLC. This is a position where we really need some help. I believe he is the highest ranked RB in the portal right now.

I hope he decides to return as a WR. It would be nice to have an emergency QB with the number of QB injuries we have had lately.

Exactly. We have not had a good QB for two seasons now. I would take a good season.

It appears that he will have 3 years to play 3. His stats so far are not amazing. Hopefully, he has a great career in SLC.
