Great Posts!
One other HUGE negative influence of the unregulated NIL is the siphoning of community charitable funds (large donors) from the University (colleges, medical school, professors etc) to individuals. In the past when donors made large charitable contributions to the team it made sense. Grow the program, more sellouts, more TV money, more bowl games benefits everybody (think rising tide elevates all ships). But now that money is going to a few individuals who pocket most (so goes to agents now) at the detriment of the entire University. If donors pay or the new proposed change to allow the Universities to pay the end result is the same…Our kids education suffers.
I’ve traveled by plane, bus, car you name it to games all over the country for reasons you all mentioned above. I won’t spend a penny now as is…sad
We are on it, Utes coming through. Do you have a way to get in touch with you?
Really sorry to hear that. Nice thing for you to do.
I have a buddy who’s son is on the team. Paged him….
My opinion a win over OU will do more for our program in the eyes of recruits and the nation but as a fan castrating USC so they are purposeless the rest of the season (pretty much) is all I could ask for in retribution for killing the Pac12
sure appreciate you. Proud Ute putting this together every time! look forward to your synopsis every week.
I can’t believe this many people think that Cam returning is somehow going to change the decimated offense!! What makes you think that an 80-90% Cam is going to win games. The guy hasn’t played in single live “tackle” down since last year. He definitely has limitations likely both physically and mentally and is hesitant to go under center knowing the impossible task of resurrecting the dead. Who is he going to throw to? Who are we going to saddle in the run game for desperate yards? If you don’t have a run game then you can throw in a play action pass offense. Losing Bernard was fatal. His utility role allowed everyone to focus on their specialty. Now everyone is unsure of themselves. Wish it were otherwise but read the tealeaves. bummer
of all the injuries, we are going to miss him the most. his reliability in blocking, pass catching, gaining yards when needed can’t be found in anyone else. Ludwigs play calling will be hampered as the offense struggles to find its rhythm. I don’t know who else can step up in that role. Sad….
I can’t understand why every Ute fan wouldn’t want the Colorado hype train to continue on the entire year. Hopefully they continue to believe their hype and beat some of the real conference champion contenders creating a few extra losses here and there. Does anyone actually believe that at the end of the season in November, they can come in to Rice-Eccles and win, especially if a lot was on the line?
copy thanks, bummer
got it expect a call
