Working now and the charts match perception. The Colorado and Iowa State games hurt Utah’s overall defensive rankings but on a pure by play analysis, that was a top level defense we watched in 2024. I’ll say this, Whitt seems REALLY motivated and pissed off about last year. I think can be a great thing if it’s channeled correctly and not at his assistants. I think Scalley and Beck being such good friends is another positive in this staff staying cohesive. I’m optimistic. Let’s get to work. Go Utes!

Agree, players make plays and coaches coach. Execution is some combination of both.

It’s just counterintuitive to me to replace the roster while keeping largely the same staff. Because wasn’t that staff in charge of finding and coaching up the players to the point where they could execute at the required level?
