Salt Lake City has a rich history with pro-hockey. The Golden Eagles were the first tenant in the Salt Palace in 1968 before the Stars and Jazz. They were always one of the best drawing minor league hockey teams throughout their history. They should have never left. The Grizzlies remain a good drawing double A team despite not fielding very good teams the last decade and with nearly no media coverage. This is a great fit with the Olympics coming back. If MLB comes along too in the next few years, GREAT!

Anytime Kentucky and BYU lose in the first round of the tourney is a great day for Utah basketball. Long time U basketball fans know!

Utah was a decent mid-level program up through the Nagel era. A different coach could have lead the program to the next level 35 years before it actually happened. Instead things went backwards. I grew up in the 80’s. It was a rough time to be a Ute football fan. Every season there was a sliver of hope just be crushed. It felt like every season ended with BYU beating us. Thank you McBride, Urban, and Kyle.

Ultimately the courts will have a big hand in dismantling DEI. Many corporations and Universities are backing off voluntarily because many tenants of DEI preferences appear to be a violation of the 1960’s Civil Rights acts…..

I ended up getting ESPN + for 10.99 a month directly from ESPN. Can access on phone/computer/TV and get the extra articles. Did not want to do it but was the only way I could watch the D2 football playoffs and many European soccer games. I think it is worth it.

Like it or not…Alabama is the only team that can get away with losing one game and barely beating a terrible Auburn and UCF and still make the final four.

I would not put this issue on the Jazz. There was no problem in the late 90’s when there were fewer people in SLC, the Jazz were competing for a title and so were the Utes. Full houses everywhere.
