      His tears will flow like a waterfall next week when USC gets brow beat by Oregon. I was becoming very ill listening to, I think it was Fowler and Herbstreit, talking Caleb up as an incredible individual and one people should pattern their lives after, his sportsmanship and honor for the game is the greatest they have seen. Gag and ugh!!!

      The second time this year that former Utes scored all the points for the Colts

      Moss = 12 points (2 touchdowns)
      Gay = 11 Points (3 field goals, 2 x-tra points)

      Where would the Colts be without these former Ute players?

      My wife and I can’t watch the games on TV together because I am labeled as “too negative”. For example, during the first half of the Baylor game I jokingly stated that “I hope we don’t get shut out” (same could have been said for the Oregon St. game). She promptly laid into me about always being negative when it comes to Ute sports and why can’t I be positive and not get upset.

      I’m thinking to myself, that is what being a fan is for the highs and lows in every game. I told her to never read a fan message board or she would lose all faith in humanity and her head might explode because of some negative banter. But she doesn’t understand. I am glad she is a positive person, but there should be some give and take when the Utes are not performing well.

      I have had football season tickets with a great friend of mine for 22 years and we enjoy our football discussions, both negative and positive. Our wives sit in other parts of the stadium, which is good, I can then spare my wife the negativity.

      Make that the former Utes scoring all of Indy’s points. There was a dang good reason Indy paid the money for Gay.

      Looks like Norm is struggling a bit, 0-5 and no defense.

      It is almost a given that JF will woo Noah Fifita away from Arizona once the portal opens again, he needs a quarterback at Washington with Penix leaving for the NFL.

      When I saw David Hall as one of the referees last night, I said to myself this is not going to be pretty. When the first half was decent I thought maybe Mr. Hall has turned a page for the better, but then the second half happened and the true Mr. Hall came out in all his glory. Even PAC12 announcer Don Maclean was annoyed with the second half and wanted it to mercifully end quickly due to the many calls.

      There has always been this grudge towards the Utes from Mr. Hall and I don’t know why. Maybe it can be linked to when he got knocked out while refereeing a Ute home game, he was out for a minute. He may have never lived down the embarrassment. I just hope he doesn’t follow us to the Big 12 next year.

      I don’t think Proud is being Mr. Negative Nancy about the special teams coaching. The kicking and punting have been great this year, it is the team coverage on punt and kick-off returns. I was probably one of 52,000 fans that were disappointed and frustrated with the long returns that Colorado had, luckily the 95 yard punt return was called back for a penalty, which could have been the game winner for Colorado. Let alone the 30 to 50 yard kick-off returns Colorado peacocked about.

      Special teams coaching needs to improve a great amount on team coverage for next year, cause Big XII refs are not going to bail us out every time with a flag. Whether it is still Shah or not, they have to get better in the third aspect of the games.

      Oregon State is Jekyll and Hyde. They are unbeatable at the beaver dam (home) but struggle on the road, even with marginal schools like Colorado. I wonder if it is because they miss the chain saw action when they score on the road.

      I may be a negative person about this, but Sweet Caroline is being sung by a bunch of lemmings at sporting events and now beer commercials, like following each other over the edge of a cliff. No where in the song does Neil Diamond scream BUM, BUM, BUM! Nor does Neil yell SO GOOD, SO GOOD, SO GOOD! Ugh.
