No, I think y’all are missing the point. I’ve laid out how, while Ludwig’s offense didn’t score 37 ppg it was a full TD per game better than Taylor’s which would be a huge improvement and people are acting like I’ve said Ludwig sucks and will be worse than Taylor. The reaction to my OP is quite bizarre.

Only slightly better than Harding? I haven’t checked the stats, but I would bet Ludwig’s offense the first 4 years he was here was only marginally better than Harding’s, statistically speaking.

I mostly agree, but going from P5 coordinator to G5 head coach back to P5 coordinator isn’t a career killer, even if he isn’t wildly successul. If nothing else, I think he could easily get another G5 HC job by pointing to his time at Houston.

I would actually be okay with him staying if he was able to keep the same roster from one year to the next (minus graduating seniors of course), but it is inevitable we will yet again lose 3+ players to transfer this year and Larry will once again have a young & inexperienced team next year.

Yep. The ACC basically gets two teams in because Notre Dame doesn’t have to play a full conference schedule and doesn’t have to prove themselves in a conference championship game. If Notre Dame had to play Clemson during the regular season and/or in the CCG, I doubt both of them would have made the playoff.

Notre Dame Shouldn’t have been in. If the ACC champ gets in, Notre Dame shouldn’t be allowed in unless they beat the ACC champ.

I don’t know about any bad blood, but Brian’s departure wasn’t exactly amicable. Rumors at the time from “insiders” were that Brian was pissed about the suggestion of being demoted to QB coach.
