I hate what NIL has become, but these rules are terrible and would be blown up in court day one. You can’t restrict someone’s ability to make money off their NIL. That’s how this all started, with the Supreme Court saying as much. Cap won’t happen until the SEC and BG10 crush the other conferences.

I hope he was with some handshake agreements that a vote for Texas and Bama would bode well for utah when the B12 collapses.

Why would they take your advice? Alabama is in and the SEC has had a team in the playoff every year. They are widely considered the best conference worth B10 a close second. Everything is coming up roses for them.

No offense but they don’t care what you or anyone else thinks as long a they keep making that money. The P12 is gone with best schools going to the B10, the B12 is devalued with the best schools to the SEC. B12 and ACC picking up the scraps does nothing but provide life support with an expiration.

The Big10, SEC, and ESPN have things right where they wanted them. Just as they planned.

CU is bad and Dion can’t coach. He can do a lot of things, but coaching isn’t one of them. He got everyone he wanted with the hype train and the NIL money that came with it. He brought in an entire team of transfers and they still couldn’t make a bowl game losing 7 straight. You think he’ll have better luck getting top line talent now that he’s shown he’s not some kind of special football wizard? The Dion experiment has a clear conclusion. Scooping up transfers that couldn’t cut it at other programs can only get you so far and he obviously doesn’t have any interest in building a team culture and developing players for long-term success. That thing is a train wreck.

These teams have gone opposite directions since they played. Washington isn’t a top 10 team right now. They beat Utah by 7. Let that sink in. We know what Utah is and its not a team that loses by 7 to a playoff team. We lost by 7, on the road, hobbling off the plane. Washington gets a reality check.

If you think there is really any substantial difference between the “left” and “right” politicians they have you right where they want you. They all answer to corporations and billionaires. What we’re seeing in football is a microcosm of capitalism. It has to grow or it fails, just like a cancer cell, destroying everything.

Its destroyed a 100 yr old conference. I’d day its past the point of saving.

2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009,2008 and on and on back to the early 90s, all blowouts and mostly for the Ducks. I’ve never seen a match-up that has so consistently been a 17+ win and more often 25+. Lanning was hired after the ’21 season. Same with DeBoer. 2020 they didn’t play. Better argument is that the last 2 with the same coaches and many of the same players have been 3 point games. However, if you actually watched that game, and the games since, it’s pretty clear the better team is OU and people putting their money where their mouth is has moved the line to 9.5.

They lost because Dan Lanning gave them the game with 3 very stupid calls on 4th down. Analytics was 94/6 to punt on the second one and they ended up FG attempt on the final drive to win. I think he’s learned his lesson on “gut calls” as a 37 yo coach.
