The img hot button asks for a URL.

You’ll need to put the image on a hosting site of some sort.

I personally use IMGUR: http://imgur.com/

Just click the “Upload Images” button on the home page, find the file you want to upload, upload it then IMGUR spits out a “Direct Link” URL you can use on any message board.
