      Good:
Ty Jordan— Easy to see why the coaches were so excited about him. Explosive quickness, runs hard, gonna be a weapon for years to come.
Nephi Sewell— I was skeptical about him at LB, seeing as how he’d never played LB before. He showed great instincts and physicality on multiple plays. Was flying all over the field.
Bryan Thompson — In the very limited opportunities he got, he definitely looked the part of Utah’s best outside weapon. Get him the damn ball.
Kicking game — while opportunities were limited, it was good to see Redding look solid with all of his kicks.

      Okay:
True freshmen on defense— USC is loaded at WR; 5* Bru McCoy is their 4th best option for heck’s sake. It is a tough ask to throw guys like CP3 and Ritchie out there on them in their first college game. Definitely struggled in some aspects, but they made good plays and were not the reason we lost. Sione Fotu looked way bigger than I expected, he’s gonna be good. Fillinger did fine. I’m optimistic about all of them.
Rest of the RBs— Brumfield had a couple decent runs, but he struggled in blitz pickup. Wilmore had some good runs. Bernard, too. Didn’t have much help from the O-line.
Defensive line as a whole— they had an okay push at times, struggled a bit in the run game. Tupai looked okay. Wanna see more from Tafua and Moala

      The Bad:
Offensive Line — it was tough to see who was coming in and out due to not having names, but the RBs were always getting hit in the backfield, and the QBs were never getting time to throw. This was supposed to be a strength. Hopefully filmwork and some good ol fashioned coaching changes this around
Play calling to integrate play makers — it seemed like the only player the O was interested in drawing up plays for was Ty Jordan. While he did great with his opportunities, it felt like Kuithe and Thompson were nearly ignored in the offense. While this could have been due to offensive line struggles, definitely could have been more creative with getting other guys involved.
Rising Turnovers— Not totally unexpected in his first game ever. These changed the game immensely. He was able to move the ball, and that’s encouraging going forward.
Punting game— still looked very mediocre to me

      The Ugly:
Jake Bentley — while he had some decent throws and runs, he was pretty bad overall. All of his deep balls were extremely non-precise and floated up for grabs. Many of his short passes were way off target. Expected to see way more poise from a player with as much game experience as him.
