Who would have thought this ten years ago?  Now the two top-ranked football teams in the state are Skyridge and Lehi.  Both had big road wins against other top-five teams last night.

Two more of the top five teams are right in the same area.  Lone Peak is just east of Lehi and Corner Canyon (perennial powerhouse) is just north.  It seems that this area is the hotbed of high school football in the state of Utah.

This area has grown from small farming communities into one of the fastest-growing areas in the country.  It will grow even faster when the prison is removed from the point of the mountain.

I performed part of the site selection and zoning entitlements for Adobe, so it’s all my fault.

Dominant hs football just keeps moving south. In the 50’s it was east. In the 60’s highland. in the 70’s skyline. Then Alta, Bingham and more recently Corner Canyon. Now Utah County.

      (overgeneralizing of course, but still)
