Why are the stands so empty at the farm?

  Are Stanford fans that fickle? Rose Bowl or nothing? I know AZ St isn’t a big name but still…

  Even when they have been really good they haven’t sold out every game. They have a very small fan base. Thats what happens when you have been awful at football for the vast majority of your programs history and are a small and extremely selective private school.

  I think there is also a lot of competition for attention. I live in the Bay area and when I have gone to see the Utes play here, the tickets have been ridiculously cheap compared to anything at RES. I can usually get 50 yard line seats cheaper than get in prices for good games in Salt Lake. The local universities compete with two pro teams (for now) and lots of other live options on any given day.
  
  I think being the only game in town helps us. That said, it should be noted all the games I have attended in the Bay area the Ute fans are well represented. We should be proud of how well we support our Utes both at home and away.
