EUGENE, Ore. – No. 19 Utah volleyball earned a season sweep over the No. 17 Oregon Ducks on Friday night, downing the home team in straight sets (25-21, 25-14, 26-24) at Matthew Knight Arena. Led by Dani Drews’ 18 kills, Utah recorded its eighth sweep of the season to improve to 14-6 overall and 7-4 in Pac-12 play.
Drews led Utah in the sweep over Oregon on Friday night, posting a match-high 18 kills, along with six blocks and an ace. Madelyn Robinson and Van Der Werff each added eight kills, while Weatherington totaled seven kills. Van Der Werff also posted four blocks.
Jankiewicz led the offense with 43 assists, which is the most in a three-set match this year for the senior setter. She also added nine digs and an ace. Vanessa Ramirez posted eight digs and Megan Yett totaled a match-high two service aces.
No. 19 Utah will be back in action this Sunday, Oct. 31 for a Halloween matinee match against Oregon State. The Utes and Beavers are set to play at 12 p.m. MT at Gill Coliseum.
