  Hmmmmmm. And they thought Miami, which draws poorly at home, matched up with a team that can’t fill its 30K seat on campus stadium in the Polousse would be a good draw. LOL!

  I suspect that actual ticket sales are just icing for these bowls who are getting most of their dough through their TV contracts.

    So if you were in charge of the Bowl and had Profit and Loss responsibilty, wouldn’t you want to pile on the icing?

  I’m not sure who benefits from the “icing.” I’m guessing the organizers of each of the lesser known bowls would be happy to break even. Sponsor gets their exposure, the bills are paid… etc.
