He was down because the ref whistled him down. So not a fun fact.
Fun fact: refs have erroneously whistled plays dead before.
Pointless exercise, but I will say that the KR is the only player who can advance his own fumble….

Yes…I thought the same thing when rewatching the game. Rewound it probably 5-6 time and think he was probably not down when he picked it back up. Oh well, like y’all said whistle blew and that was it no matter what
