As tough as it felt to lose, we played a considerably better game than we have any other time this season.
Our D had trouble adjusting for a quarter and a half, but played solid shutdown D except for 1 blown play in the 4th.
WSU’s D had trouble stopping our run game for about the same time period. Their D adjusted and started stuffing our runs.
Our final scoring drive of the half was a pass and run mixture. That is what we need to win.
The main problem as I see it in the 2nd half, is WSU bottled up our run game. Last year Huntly was great at extending plays with his feet to make accurate passes on the run. For whatever reason he no longer does that.
Unless he gets back to that, we need to find a more accurate QB. We aren’t going to get where we want to go with running only.
