Ayaan Hirsi Ali Explains How To Combat Political Islam

I came across this via a tweet from Sam Harris, which is a commentary on the paper written by Hirsi Ali.  The link to the full paper follows.

The Challenge of Dawa: Political Islam as Ideology and Movement and How to Counter It

“Dawa as practiced by radical Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance their goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society. This includes proselytizing but extends beyond that.4 In Western countries, dawa aims both to convert non-Muslims to political Islam and to instill Islamist views in existing Muslims.5 The ultimate goal of dawa is to destroy the political institutions of a free society and replace them with the rule of sharia law.”

Hm.  Sounds like European countries “failing to integrate” all the “refugees”.  Rather, they are just colonizing.  Occam’s Razor.

Her critics continue their efforts to silence her. She recently had to cancel her Australian tour amid threats of violence. I found this video ironic, considering most of the women in it are wearing hijabs while talking about how Hirsi Ali is not interested in their freedom or oppression. These are Australian women, not females living in Muslim strongholds in the Middle East for christ sake.

Quite.  The littany of buzzwords, outright racism, victimhood and blatant avoiding of rational argument is also telling.  After reading Hirsi Ali’s playbook on dawa and comparing to pieces like that, it seems her claims may well be valid.
