So if (when) tOSU boat races NW and get’s into the playoffs who represtents the Big10?

Is it NW or can they choose anyone?

During the broadcast of the UM/OSU game, the announcers made it sound like a foregone conclusion that Michigan would go to the Rose Bowl if OSU makes it to the playoffs.

The Rose Bowl has to take the highest rated team from the PAC 12 and Big 10 if the champion is in the playoff. There is no wiggle room. Michigan will certainly be ranked higher than NW.

Well he said highest ranked team. Wazzu is still ranked higher than Utah. Just doing a hypothetical.

The highest ranked only applies if the conference champion is taken by the playoff.  Since neither Washington or Utah is likely to be slotted in the playoff, the winner goes to the Rose Bowl.
