It’s a paranormal thriller (think aliens more than ghosts). It is set in the 80s and takes a lot of inspiration from spielberg, the goonies, and such. The A-plot is about a group of pre-teens trying to find their friend who had gone missing. They are the classic group of misfits. The b-plots center around the mom, brother, and sheriff trying to find the boy and the other b-plot centers around a teenage girl trying to find her missing friend. There are government experiments, shenanigans, and some creepy ass monsters. The show is a tight thriller that borders on horror at times. It is a really well written show.
