And even if it wasn’t the ball was still within the blocking zone, arguably. That means Bolles could have blocked in the back and still be legal.

However, just looking at the physics of that block, there is no way it was in the back.

Check out the spot that gave us the final 4th down. We was robbed and still got the 1st down.

That hit on Darnold where they ruled it an incomplete pass was a pure gift to USC. His arm snapped upward as a result of the hit. That call allowed SC to maintain possession and they scored 7 as a result. Talk about gift calls.

I think the weather/field condition was a big factor… Utah plays in those conditions every day and they fumbled it twice. They just happened to get one of theirs back whereas ours all went their way
