Both Andy Reid and Kyle Whittingham come out of the LaVelle Edwards school of coaching. The idea is to play the game conservatively and force your opponent to make critical plays to beat you. I have no doubt that if turned loose Alex could have much sexier numbers, but he is playing within the system his coach had lined out. It can be effective, but whether or not it can win a championship in the NFL with their high powered offenses designed to make those critical plays remains to be seen.

People who whine about Alex not flinging the ball downfield all the time know nothing about football.  You’re right all he does is win, and that’s the only QB stat that really matters.  I’ll take him any day over 3/4 of the QBs in the league.

His passer rating is very high.  He wins ball games and you get some better wideouts. He had a couple deep throws tonight. Cam Newton threw some deep balls that should have been picked against the Seahawks.

Now that Smith has Ty Hill it makes the offense really dynamic. Dude is the Flash.
