Tre’von Strong was a CB at Montana State, just wrapped up his Sophomore year. He has 3 years to play 2.

      Check this out:

      Then this:

I don’t see why we would offer a scholly to this kid – yet. He just HAS to be walking on. Right?

Yup pretty sure he’s a walk-on/ scout team player.  Who knows, he could end up being one of those great rags-to-riches stories.  Can always dream…

I see Strong picking up the role of great special teams player. Byrd, Thompson, etc. Another just beast that makes up 1/3 of our team and a part of one of the strongest units on the team.

I also think that he doesn’t want to be a CB but is instead trying to get in at safety, which there is an opening right now.

If he’s walking away from playing time at MSU to be a scout team player at Utah and try to work his way up, that’s a pretty big risk he’s willing to take. I have to say I admire that. Dream big, don’t be afraid to fail.
