I’m sorry to report that Spence Clark passed away yesterday. Not many newcomers to the Ute fan base know much about him, but he was a great man who contributed his time and capital to the University especially when it wasn’t “cool” to do so. He was the primary donor for the SEZ facility in 1982. He played Guard for the Utes in the late ‘50’s before embarking on a successful real estate career. His son Steve became an All-American defensive tackle for the Utes in the late ‘70’s before being drafted by the Miami Dolphins. Rest In Peace my friend. Thank you for your multi-generational support of the University, and we will miss you.

Thanks for the heads up on that, UrbanLiar.  That’s a huge loss and we’ll miss him.
