I jumped in my car to run some errands.  The presser was already going on, so I didn’t hear everything.  A couple of things I picked up:

      – He said they have or will have 10 scholarship corners in fall camp.

      – We have three running backs fighting for playing time.  He is not sure if they will have a single guy getting most of the playing time or do running back by committee.

      – There will be one or two more receivers on the team before fall camp starts. (They are working the portal.)

      – The top four wide receivers today are Covey, Dixon, Enis, and Vele. (Not a surprise.)

      – We have 8-10 offensive lineman who are ready to play.  We have a lot of young talent and the future looks good.

      – Bam is down to 330 pounds and improving.

As I mentioned, I missed the first part of the presser.  So, I would love to hear what else he said.

Thanks for posting. Good I fo here. If you wish to hear the first part, it’s already posted on the podcast outlets so you won’t miss anything in case we don’t pick up on everything he says.

Thanks for sharing.  Good insight here.

Can’t remember the last time we had RB committee throughout a season.  Though I don’t think that’s how it will play out.

Without a proven RB1 like Moss, it always starts out as RB by committee until someone breaks out like Ty did last year.

Agreed, I’m not saying we won’t start the year in a committee, but I doubt we end the year in one.  We’ll see someone separate.

We didn’t really have an RB1 to start the season last year either.  It was RB by committee….or at least it was until Ty Jordan broke out.  I’m expecting that if we don’t have a clear RB1 by the time of our season opener, we will by the time we head to USC.

I think Bernard is clearly the number 1 back and Whitt does not want to discourage the others.

I think unless you’ve been at camp, you really can’t know this. Pledger, Curry and/or Parks could easily be the next breakout player.

I listened to it and it doesn’t seem like you missed much. A couple things I did pick up on was the recruiting dead period is likely to end June 1st and the spring game depth chart will probably be released Thursday.
