    Nope! If anything I think they will go up. There is a chance they could stay the same but I doubt it.

    the average ticket price MIGHT fall, because the added seats look to be cheaper corner/endzone seats. But a ticket on the 20 yd line row 45 will still be every bit as much as it is now. There will be more low end options available but seat to seat no chance in hell the price drops

  How is this different from what they did a few years ago when they released a mockup and everything? Maybe a little more in depth. All this (plus history) tells me is we are maybe 5 years away from being 5 years away from expansion

    It looks like this will be an in depth look at the market, funding options, design options, etc. If things go well I wouldn’t be surprised to be ready to start construction as early as this year after the football season is over. Otherwise I would think after the 2018 season.

      Yea, it looks like a study to develop in depth cost/benefit analysis of the project.

  Hopefully Pershing has some leverage when it comes to the legislature now.
  
  Hughes said that the state could not do anything like the audit again, because the politcal fallout was much, much worse than he ever thought and no one would back that again.
  
  That being said, Pershing can now so to the Legislature and say, “we need more money for expansion. If you can’t help, we will have to drop the BYU game to add another home game the off years (instead of playing in Provo) and then bring in a better named opponent the years BYU would have played in SLC to pay for it. Especially seeing how many, many teams bring in bigger crowds than BYU.”

    I know for a fact that the legislature will not put money into athletics and will not allocate any funding for athletic facility construction. Those buildings have to be approved by the legislature but all finanacing is private. I had a conversation with Chris Hill a few months ago and he told me that when they expand they will close in the south end zone and put more luxury boxes above that area which would decrease the net gain in seats. Apparantly there is a big demand for more boxes. We would get more seats but not a huge number, probably a few thousand.

        The other in state schools didn’t “steal” BYU’s spot in the Pac-12 and leave them in the dust. Hughes and the other BYU fanboy legislators will do anything and everything in their power to handcuff Utah athletics going forward.
