#23 Faybian Marks, Sophomore CB, 5-10 189
While Faybian’s brothers played football at Alabama (Xavian reserve WR, KR 2015-18, Torin scout team DB 2015-16), he chose to come to Utah from Richardson, Texas (outlying suburb of Houston). At George Ranch HS he competed as a DB, WR and KR for the Longhorns as well as on the track team. His senior year he caught 2 INTs and forced one fumble while on ohfense he scored on an 86 pass reception. At Utah he played in all 6 games his first year (2020) and 10 games in 2021, including starting in 7 games (coming after Broughton’s injury) until he broke his ankle vs. Arizona. He was still rehabbing the ankle in spring 2022 but is expected to be back to full strength in fall camp. Assuming his injury healed well he should return to a leading role in the defensive backfield for the Utes. With his speed and past experience at KR, might be worth a look there, also.
