Two-fer today … going to become a regular feature…
#24 Chris Curry, Junior RB, 5-11 220
Chris is a transfer from LSU (SEC, SEC, SEC …) who had a reserve role with the Utes last year, playing in 9 games with 18 carries for 90 yards (4.4 ypc). At LSU (2018-20) he logged 91 career carries for 336 yards (3.7 ypc) with four catches for 33 yards (8.25 ypc), in a stretch that included a National Championship run in 2019. The way I see it, the Utes will likely go with their top two backs, Tavion Thomas and Micah Bernard, then Curry and 4-star newcomer Jaylon Glover will be vying for the third spot. Chris did have a kickoff return in 2021 so might be used there. Any other fans have other ideas?

#24 Darrien “Bleu” Stewart, RS Freshman S, 6-0 190
Darrien has some rich athletic DNA, his father played football for UNLV in the mid 90s and his mother ran track at Cal and Pepperdine. He comes to Utah from Desert Pines HS in Vegas where he had 30 tackles and one INT in 2019 as a Junior. Senior season, 2020, was cut short by the COVID pandemic. In track his 4×400 relay team was the Nevada state champion. He joined the Utes in 2021 and took a redshirt. With a deep safety room, Darrien will likely remain on the scout team in 2022.
