      Watch this video:

      There is some Utah talk in there, but they are talking about the possibility of a playoff where conference champions go to a playoff to play each other and conferences have a four
      to eight team playoff of their own. Which, by the way, is exactly where this is going. It makes too much sense.

      What Big 12 fans don’t realize yet and likely won’t until it happens is that there will be precisely two conference champions going to this playoff and they are the B1G champ and the SEC champ. Period. Everyone else is not invited and becomes to those conferences what FCS is to us now.

      Utah will be in the Big 10. KW knows this. It is why he speaks with so much confidence whenever he brings it up.

      @utah

      The reality is…we don’t know. We don’t know if people will continue to cut cords. We don’t know if Cable will make a comeback…or a streaming version of cable.

      Money drives this. Not Ohio State, not Alabama. It’s subscribers to Comcast, DISH, Directv…It’s the little old lady who watches FOX NEWS 24 hours a day paying $8 to ESPN every month.

      There is a chance they reinvent cable tv and in 5 years we are all paying $150 a month for a package again and the money is flowing and we get two power conferences with 64 teams…or 56…or whatever.

      There is a chance that cords get cut, no one signs up for ESPN, ESPN+, Peac**k, B1G Network, Paramount, FOX Sports, etc and the money isn’t there and USC and UCLA reform the P12 and Texas and OU take the rest of the ACC and Big 12 and we have four power conferences with less money.

      We don’t know yet.
