Huntley winning the starting job would be a very good sign

If for nothing else than it being such an anti whitt move  (conservatively going with the “experienced” senior). It will mean he stood out so much he took the job. 

 

I still stand by my statements of troys potential in this system.

Brian Johnson, Jordan Wynn, Travis Wilson … they all started young. Whitt picking Huntley would not be a sign of him doing anything differently.

Whitt picking Huntley would be unprecidented. It would be like if Jordan Wynn had started the season in 2009.  Or Travis Wilson in 2012.  Both those years, Whitt went with the safer, more experenced guy to begin the year until they got injured or underperformed.
