6’9″ 215 lb forward. Averaged 6.6/4.1 in 21 minutes. AAC all-freshman team. He was a big target for Utah in 2023 but we missed him for Rice (???). He was born in Utah and moved when he was 9. Former ESPN Top 150 recruit. He also had offers from Houston, Texas, K State, and BYU-Provo Campus, among others.

So it sounds like he’s a solid roster addition? Not sure we’d consider him a huge get or a game changer??

I haven’t seen him play, but from what I’ve read it sounds like he’s a versatile wing/slasher-type player that we haven’t had in a long time, maybe since Kuzma (let me be clear: I’m not saying he’s the next Kuz). We were really missing that dimension this year – we were a team that could pound it down low or shoot 3s, but not do much else.

So I, for one, am excited to see us add another dimension on offense. I just hope this kid can play defense and rebound.
