1 – We are moving up in the world. Yeah, USC swooped in and poached Tufele at the last moment, but we swooped in and poached TJ Green from OSU as well. That would NEVER happen in the MWC. We may not be USC, but we ain’t OSU either.
2 – Going along with moving up, Devin Lloyd was a two star athlete. Then we offered. Right after that, he was bumped up to 3 star. These sites are taking us seriously and trust Whitt’s evaluation of talent. We love to talk about two star Alex and Weddle, but I doubt they are rated like that these days. The sites are so much better at evaluating talent. Whitt even mentioned this today.
3 – Those two 5-7 years killed us. Look at our recruiting before, the 5-7 years, then since:
2009 forward: 55, 34, 39, 33, 53, 69, 53, 33, 33.
It’s too bad we couldn’t go bowling those two years. We might be pulling in classes in the 20’s…
