Sixteen team conferences

Conferences with 16 or more teams are not going to last very long, especially with the so called “marquee” schools. Their egos and lust for money are just too great for them to accept equal footing with other “lesser” schools in the conference. Just wait and see what happens to the SEC and Big 10 a few years after going with 16 teams. These two conferences will dissolve into two or more smaller conferences. It’s the TV networks driving this temporary madness, and the only ones who will benefit are the non-power 5 teams that are now in a power 5 conference.
