What is the fall student situation for your local college campus? Portland State’s President announced on 30Jul, “…the number of fall classes in a face-to-face format will be extremely limited with nearly all courses taught remotely.”

Per the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo website: “Fall Term: Classes scheduled to start Sept. 14; Fall term registration opens June 29. Final day of in-person classes will be Nov. 20, with classes converting to all-virtual instruction and finals for the remainder of fall term.”

Large classes moved online, lower-attendance classes in person in larger classrooms.   Quite a bit of rescheduling over the summer with some classes pushed into the evening to be sure classes are in large enough classrooms.   Classes start Monday, reports this week of parties in the Greek area without social distancing, masks or any of that.  Admin has done a lot of work to make classes safe, but outside the classroom, free-for-all!  God help us all!
