It’s worth remembering that Urban, who is hands down the best strategic coach that has ever coached the program, made most of his starters play special teams. Your best players are your best players. You could make the argument that a program like Utah doesn’t have the depth to lose anybody, so it’s advisable to play our best players sparingly. To me that’s a playing not to lose mentality. No thanks. I’m more of the opinion that we don’t have the depth so we can’t water down our productivity with “filler” players.
