  I am usually very critical of his conservative nature on the field. However, it is clear after watching 3 games they have no confidence in Bentley. Nor should they. Bentley is tied for the MOST starts in college football among active players. Played in the SEC. and after watching him for three games looks like he’s a true freshman playing His first 3 games of P5 football. I understand covid, and lack of time with teammates. But throws he doesn’t make, secessions he can’t figure out. Or simple out passes to Kuithe, an experienced QB makes that throw. I really hope we have a back plan plan if Rising can’t go in the fall. Cause I seriously expect Whitt to let him go or tell him he’s a third string an if he comes back.

  Someone I know who attends camp and practice said before the season that he thought Rising would get the starting job b/c Bentley has trouble seeing the whole field and takes too long to get the ball out. Rising was much better at finding guys, getting the ball out, and calmer in the pocket.

  I was very surprised after hearing Rising had won the job. Makes total sense now.

  Yeah but how many of those “bad passes” are just throw aways as to not throw an INT. Bentley didn’t turn the ball over, we won the game.

    The fact that we were recruiting Oregon St QB doesn’t make me feel any better about our recruiting decisions either .. Granted Bentley appears to have been a short notice decision with Ludwig; can’t tell me he was in serious consideration for the starting roll. If he was , then it doesn’t speak well about rising either

  Which ones. The two wide open passes to kuithe or the pass at Brittany’s coveys feet. He also threw two passes right to OSU receivers who dropped them. So spare me the no TO nonsense. Both of those should have been picked.
