  • Excited to see new names almost across the board. Not surprised Richie got passed up. He just hasn’t been the same since his mission. That being said it’s also nice to see guys like him stick around adding quality depth.

  • I know a couple of people that have worked with him at BYU, they both can’t stand him.

  • Here is my prediction:

It’s opening night, the team trots out on the field against UCLA. We get the ball first, and the kickoff is sent through the back of the endzone. Out trotts… ISAAC WILSON, is it? Yes, it appears to be Isaac alright. But wait! Just before the first snap of the game. He rips off his jersey Hulk Hogan Style, and reveals that…[Read more]

Guys, flinging insults at the opposition doesn’t have the persuasive impact you think it does. Internet anonymity shouldn’t be an excuse to act like a jackass. We are all fans of the same team.

  • yep, all because of a REALLY late hit

  • who said I was bummed? I said it was nice to have another guy, which is essentially what you said.

I could say the same thing about you and your priorities. Who’s priorities are more messed up, the guy who chooses to point out possible downsides to of things that happen to a sports team, or the guy who feels the need to blow that guys posts out…[Read more]

  • People don’t like it because it’s me that said it. If it were onlyu/butterball or whatever he’s calling himself these days, everyone would agree, and that is fine with me.

  • You are choosing to read my comments in an overly negative tone. I’m not complaining. I’m not dogging the guy. I’m expressing a valid concern. I didn’t say he was going to suck. I haven’t lamented the current state of our program. I even said I it was nice to have another guy for depth. I don’t see anything negative about any of that.

    You say I’m…[Read more]

  • I don’t see this as negativity. It’s just the reality. Do you honestly think I’m wrong? He was at VT for two years and had a total of 128 yards. The next year, in a muuuuuch lower division of football, he had 285 yards. His YPC was quite good at around 6, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll do that here.

It’s just like someone else (I forget…[Read more]

  • I sure hope his lack of production at his last spot was due to injury or some other non-football reason, because his production thus far is not inspiring confidence. Nice to have another guy I guess.

  • This is good news, but I’m not going to get my hopes up. There were like 5 WRs ahead of him at Cal in terms of production.

One thing I do like is that he seems to be someone that stretches the field well. Most of his catches seem like long-ball type plays.

  • You are calling my take dumb when your take doesn’t even address what I actually said. HILARIOUS! I never said our team was better. I never said I preferred the greater size (vertically anyway) of last year’s team. I never said those players were anything to strive for. Someone said the team was built around length. I pointed out that we had more…[Read more]

  • Yes, he is. Keita is not on this team. I don’t care how tall they are. They can be 10 inches tall. If they average 2 blocks a game, they will be a good rim protector. The height isn’t the point. A tall guy would be nice to have in case that is needed. We just need rim protection, which we do not have much of at the moment (unless these guys just…[Read more]

  • We may have a rim protector on the team, but it is hard to say because most of the guys have only had about 15 minutes a game to go off of. Looks like we have two guys that averaged around a block per game over their careers. Either of them could potentially increase that total next year. However, I think if either one is the rim protector, our…[Read more]

  • I don’t care how tall they are. We need a rim protector. Houston had a rim protector. Nobody said we had a good rim protector last year. Also, I am not and was not complaining about anything AJ has done. I know the roster isn’t complete. What part of saying we need a rim protector suggests I think AJ doesn’t know that?

Maybe read what I say and s…[Read more]

Yes, height is not a necessary condition of length. What is your point? That doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Our team was both taller and longer last year. What we did not have was athleticism.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Babacar Faye in the forum Basketball (Men) 2 weeks ago

Right now we have athletic players. We need a tall and athletic player to protect the rim. That will be key if we want to play a high-pressure, aggressive defense.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Babacar Faye in the forum Basketball (Men) 2 weeks ago

I like the athleticism. I’m not sure why you think this team has a lot of length though. Our tallest guy at the moment is 6 ft 9. The Point Guard on last year’s team was 6 ft 8. What we didn’t have last year was athleticism. I’m glad we have that. Now we need a rim protector or two and a shooter or two.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Babacar Faye in the forum Basketball (Men) 2 weeks ago

    Good pickup

Now we NEED NEED NEED a rim protector (two actually), and at least one more shooter.
