I agree. Frankly, I am surprised that UCLA picked him up. From what I observed over the past two years, he is the No. 7 or 8 player on an NCAA caliber team. It will be interesting to see if he gets more than 15 minutes a night.

There is a post on twitter that reports that Williams made it possible for two young Ute fans who had recently lost their father attend the Championship game. I don’t know how to add the post, but it puts a different light on Williams.

I think the BYU situation was different from the Florida situation. I did not like the Florida decision because there was no need to chase points at that time. Analytics probably dictated Kyle’s decision, but I had always been told that you do not chase points by going for 2 until you absolutely need to do it to tie the game at the end.

I attended the scrimmage. Johnson did not get any reps with the 1’s or 2’s. They were evenly divided between JJ and Barnes. In a video of yesterdays practice, Johnson was wearing a scout team jersey. Jane was a fantastic tennis player and a class act. We met a few times in the Fall of 75. The next summer I literally ran into her in London as she left a laundromat and I exited the music store next door. She was there for Wimbledon.

Just as there are limits on the number of scholarships a school can give in a year, there should be a limit on the number of portal transfers. This would protect some kids from getting pushed out the door and also put some limits on schools.

I was friends with Juddy and would play pickup games with he and some of the other players. Karl Bankowski was one tough guy. Even in pickup games you could not go across the lane without catching an elbow in the chest. He is the kind of player the Utes need.

Yes. He was a walkon. Hard worker. Good guy. Everyone liked him. Should be a good coach.

I saw a couple games there. A neighbor was the scorekeeper and we went up to practice a few times and I was able to get some autographs. My Ute Conference team actually practiced on the dirt in Einer Nielsen before a Thanksgiving Day game.
