A big question for me is replacing the pressure that our safeties provided last season. If we can keep our productivity up there, I am confident that our DEs, DLs, and LBs will be as good or better than last season. Also, how much man coverage will our corners be able to provide. Pass rush is not just a product of a good DE or two.

Rick replied to the topic TE Question????? in the forum Football 1 week, 4 days ago
I think comparing any offensive player on this year’s team to their production last year is a bad analysis. King is a good TE. We didn’t discover that until later in the season because we had extremely poor QB play and a pretty bad pass blocking O-Line.

I think the offensive line will be a HUGE factor in the run vs. pass mix decision. Last season was not a very good pass protection o-line. I am hoping they have improved in that area but Cam needs the threat of the run both from him personally and our RBs for his type of passing game to be effective. He is not some 6’5″ gunslinging pocket…[Read more]

This lineup, no matter how it ends up, will not be even close to as good as last year’s lineup at full strength and will not finish outside of the bottom 25% of our new conference. I just don’t see it. No one listed is in BC’s ballpark and there is no one on this roster as talented as Deivon.

Phoenix is a bigger market than Cincy or Orlando. The city of Houston doesn’t give one crap about their university in relation to the big dogs in that state (Texas and TAMU) and their pro teams. Also, ASU has a massive alumni base in the Phoenix area and they have a good, young coach. Once, they cycle out of the mess that Herm left them, they…[Read more]

I really don’t understand all of the lamenting on this board about JQJ. At best, he was a very moderate success at RB for us. He was an average blocker at best. He ran high and fumbled a lot. He only had 5 games in 2 seasons with 100+ yards rushing. His average yards per carry declined from 2022 to 2023 by 2 whole yards. He was hurt almost…[Read more]

Michigan would be way worse than Utah in terms of throwing downfield!

Did he play with Wilson last season? I don’t remember him. I love his size and speed though!

Love the size on this kid. Seems super bright too! If we can land Rock Olsen, we will have a decent OL class!

I watched some of his highlights on Hudl and he is a huge kid but he tends to hold quite a bit. Hope he can clean that up this season. He will probably become a zoob anyway.

“Hello Utah” for the win! That would be absolutely hilarious! It wasn’t just Donny and Marie, it was the entire clan, including little Jimmy!

Rick replied to the topic Worst parts of the game day experience and how to fix them? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
The narrow concourses are a huge problem for me. Running more Trax trains before and after games would also help. Not having the trains wait and wait until they fill up completely to the max along with more trains would speed up pre and post game congestion. Or maybe stagger the train stops and have one on the east side of the stadium along…[Read more]

Sugar Bowl #1, Notre Dame #2, first USC game in the Colosseum #3 because it said that “we have arrived.”
Worst: U of A, Cal, anything at Sam Boyd Stadium.

When has RB ever been a weak spot in a Utah offense? Someone will rise up as RB1 and we all know what Micah Bernard can do as RB2. My biggest concern is replacing Keaton Bills. I think he was a huge key to several of our wins last year.

Are the folks on here trying to convince us that this roster presented is better than last year’s? If so, I am not buying what you all are selling.
