What happens if all of Georgia, TCU, Michigan, and USC lose in their respective CCGs? It would be fun to pull up a chair with some popcorn and see what the playoff selection committee does or not do.

Unfortunately, there really wouldn’t be any chaos. At this point, USC is the only team that would fall out since you would have four one-loss teams. TCU, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State would be your 4 with the order being decided by how bad each team lost in their CCG.

There isn’t a chance that 4 loss Purdue or 3 loss Kansas State/Utah get in. It would be fun to see the committee try to justify 3 loss LSU (who lost to 5-7 A&M) just because they beat Georgia but I don’t see it happening. So you are really just down to the 2 loss ACC champ and Ohio State as being able to move into the top 4.

        My hot take:

I’m not a Rose Bowl snob. I just want a win. I’d love for Utah and Purdue to win and to play Purdue in the Rose Bowl.

Then it would be Utah-Purdue Rose Bowl.  I want the Rose, but would prefer Penn St.
