Burgess ends chicagos 2nd drive with an incredible long field persuit on 3rd down. Jaylon has been jaylon. Of course.
and on the NEXT PLAY Jaylon almost gets his first INT, but yet again another pass deflection, where he ranks 2nd in the entire league
JJ made a GREAT play and got a lot of air time with the announcers.
BURGESS AGAIN ON THIRD DOWN
starting spot incoming for this kid
Burgess 3rd down stop no. 1 for your viewing pleasure
Burgess 3rd down stop no. 2
Jaylon has looked good in coverage, but I’ve been surprised how non-aggressive he is in run defense. There was a play just now where the rams pushed the pile for like 10 extra yards. Jaylon just stood on the outside and watched it happen.
Still a damn good rookie!
yeah but there were 2 other bears defenders standing right next to him doing the same. Hes definitely hesitant to get in on piles. Shoulder ptsd likely
He’s not as physical as you think. Strays away from tackling. He’s more of a cover guy than a tackler like burgess n Blackmon.
I’ve really been noticing this. He seems to avoid contact.
That Utah secondary was so good last year. If you haven't noticed, check out how well Julian Blackmon, Jaylon Johnson, and Terrell Burgess are all playing this year.

Lol, Blackmon has never been as good a tackler as Johnson. He may be avoiding piles, but fundamentally he was miles ahead of Blackmon in every aspect in college. Blackmon’s terrible tackling resulted in at least a few losses that should have been wins. Blackmon is a great player, but I would hesitate to label him a tackler.
Are you kidding? Blackmon is literally one of the best tacklers to ever come through Utah. Funny meme.
