I have not seen anything yet.
yes – black helmets, white jerseys, black pants.
I like most of their uniform combinations but I’d like to see them do a home black-out game with all black unis with a chrome lid.
They are new black helmets.
A new decal at least.
That’s basically all it ever is, just a new design. New paint, new decal.
I know there’s some fans who say only “red and white allowed”, but imagine this throwback style in black jersey. You could have a shiny chrome helmet with matte black or red UU.
I’ve been saying this for about 3-yrs now. We NEED to bring back that uniform — even if it means only once a year. That one is SHARP!
Why not just take that jersey make it red and white and call it a day? Those shoulders and those number fonts are all we should ever need
It looks like a slight iteration of our most used black lid, swapping chrome for white and adding a stripe. The chrome version was in regular rotation being used 16 times between 2014-2021. Our other black helmets include:
The 2016 handpainted (OG) helmet was used twice.
The 2019 (chrome) and 2022 (white) Ute Pride helmet.
THe 2012 (White), and 2012-2013 (red) were used twice each season.
Honorable Mention (2021, 2019):
Dishonorable Mention (2017):

I think I’m ready for a jersey refresh. The lines and stripes of our current uniforms is a bit too much for me. I’d like to see a simplification, similar to our throwbacks worn last week vs OSU… This new black helmet looks great, though.
I somewhat agree, but they are still better than the mountains and the first edition of angled pant stripe.
Love the new black helmet, definitely an improvement! And nothing was worse than those god awful mountains on the shoulders!!! Tackie!
