  Spring in Utah. Nice time to live here. I can ski still (went yesterday), golf, and mountain bike on the same day.
  
  I’m just checking in on my friends here. How’s it going? We have a few months before football. Wondering if anyone has any bugs, improvements, new features they’d like to see on the website or the mobile app before the season starts.
  
  One thing I’m going to try and look at again is this damn issue with some emails not getting to people when they register. Service providers like MSN and yahoo have blocked Ute Hub for some reason. Despite the site not being on any blacklist, most emails to MSN or yahoo or their parters don’t make it. So new users register but never receive an email confirmation to activate their account. That world isn’t my forte, but I’ll be taking another shot at it.

  Embedding YouTube videos would be cool. Not sure if that already exists.

    It does. All you do in the website is put the youtube URL on its own line in the text editor. In the app there’s a video icon you click to add it.

  I experience page loading lag whether on mobile or gigabit-backed WiFi. Is this an issue for anyone else? I don’t have the same issue with any other websites I frequent.

    Yes, when on the front page I click on the headline and it’s a good 8-10 second gap before leaving the front page. Not a huge deal but pretty much the only website I frequent where it happens.

    Posts with tons of replies can be a performance killer.

    Hmm. Did some experimenting tonight. If I disable the Like/Dislike feature, the posts load incredibly faster. I mean, the difference on one long thread of replies was 2 seconds vs 15-20 seconds. I’ll look into the like implementation and see if I can fix that performance bottleneck.

        Can’t believe I didn’t find this sooner. Oh well. If I can figure it out it could make a huge difference.
