Mohave University isn’t bad.

I’m also thinking: St. George State, Southwest Utah, Southwest Utah State, Southern Utah State, St. George University. All kind of meh, but I think it will be something like that. If I were a betting man, I’d say Southwest Utah State.

The public university in Ogden is named Weber State after the county it’s located in.  So logically–and for the sake of consistency–Dixie should be renamed to Washington State University.

Is Dixie State associated with the University of Utah or Utah State University systems?  Or neither and stands on it’s own?

Mojave U sounds more like a Barstow CA college. No one would guess that name would be in Utah.

If you want a more appropriate name that fits, how about RedRock State. The U gymnastics team would be p**sed, but it would be a better fitting name than Mojave.

I like the University of Utah St. George, UUSG, or Utah State University St. George USUSG. Home of the Fighting Hoodoos!
